Our current and recent engagements include:

  • For Southern California Edison, LEI performed a technical and market potential study to identify the most promising building types and business segments for cost-effective Zero Net Energy applications in SCE’s service territory.
  • For Bonneville Power Administration’s Office of Technology Innovation, LEI assisted in creation of the 20-year Pacific Northwest energy efficiency road map.
  • For EcoFactor, LEI provides guidance on DSM product introduction and on managing alliances with utilities and other key DSM community stakeholders.
  • For Sacramento Municipal Utilities District and the Emerging Technologies Coordinating Council, LEI provided strategy and planning services for the 2010 Summit on Emerging Technologies for Energy Efficiency, the biennial North American conference on innovation in energy efficiency, demand response, customer-facing smart grid, and related programs.
  • For PARC (formerly Xerox PARC), LEI assisted in characterizing the technical and market potential for a highly efficient new product line, and provides ongoing support on energy efficient product development initiatives.
  • For Southern California Edison, LEI helped launch and is providing ongoing operating support for the Technology Resource Incubator Outreach (TRIO) program, which educates startup company executives on how to work with California utilities’ energy efficiency funding programs.
  • For Microstaq, LEI developed and led company marketing and engineering team workshops on energy end-use sector practices and perspectives, and provided strategic and tactical assistance to help build a credible presence in the energy-efficiency domain.
  • For Bonneville Power Administration and Washington State University Energy Program, LEI helped develop and launch the Energy Efficiency Emerging Technologies (E3T) program.  LEI provides ongoing E3T support for projects such as the Advanced Lighting Initiative that streamline assessment and adoption of new technologies for customer energy efficiency programs at investor-owned, municipal, and cooperative energy utilities in the Pacific Northwest. 
  • For National Semiconductor, LEI developed and led workshops on demand-side management business practices and perspectives for the company’s new product team, and contributed to creation of National’s Smart Grid business strategy.
  • For Southern California Edison, LEI helped coordinate and write the 2009-12 California statewide Emerging Technologies Program (ETP) Implementation Plan, and developed the ETP program manual for SCE’s project managers.  LEI provides ongoing support on strategic ETP projects and initiatives.
  • For the Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance and Washington State University Energy Program, LEI developed and delivered a client Webinar on emerging DSM technology program planning and delivery.
