Respected Energy Efficiency Expert Launches Livingston Energy Innovations
LEI to Connect Utilities, Innovators, and Investors in Joint Pursuit of an Energy Efficient Future
Noted energy efficiency expert Jonathan Livingston announced the formal launch of Livingston Energy Innovations (LEI), a consultancy designed to propagate high-impact, best-in-class demand-side management programs across North America. Headquartered in the San Francisco Bay Area, LEI provides utilities, new technology ventures, and investors with strategic services, insights and connections responding to the urgent demand for energy solutions built on efficiency, demand response, and smart grid technologies.
Livingston founded LEI to share his deep understanding of energy end-use efficiency, based on 25 years of successful design and delivery of efficiency programs. LEI gives its clients meaningful perspectives on energy markets where efficiency has become a top focus for innovators, investors, legislators, and utilities alike.
“LEI allows me to build on the successful end-use efficiency innovations that I led at Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) and Ecos Consulting,” says Livingston. “I’m pleased by the strong response from our initial clientele—ranging from start-ups to multi-national leaders—who have enlisted LEI’s services at this auspicious time of unprecedented challenges and opportunities in the demand-side management industry.”
Prior to founding LEI, Livingston led PG&E’s acclaimed Emerging Technologies Program and New Construction Energy Management section, and served as Vice President for Product and Service Innovation for Portland-based Ecos Consulting. He currently serves as advisor to three leading clean tech organizations: the Clean Tech Open business competition, the CalCEF Clean Energy Angel Fund, and the Environmental Business Cluster, which was recognized as the top U.S. technology incubator in 2008.
